Sales Executive – Video Publishing

This position requires a seasoned sales professional with a proven track record of senior level sales, account management and field experience. This position requires an emphasis on solution selling and selling complex software systems into the Television Post, Production, and Broadcast markets as well as to Fortune 1000 companies as assigned.  At least 5 years selling experience is required with revenue goals in excess of $1,000,000 annually. The Sales Professional is responsible for managing and growing a significant number of clients and revenue stream in the assigned geographical region and assigned product lines.  This position will be primarily responsible for establishing the company in the Online Video Publishing and Cloud Services marketplace.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS

  •  The ability to manage a regional profit center by selling new business, servicing existing clients and selling additional products to existing clients.
  • Participate in sales meetings which require excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Executive presence.
  • Technical aptitude to conduct sales presentations, and provide high level project management of product rollouts for large and complex clients.

Solution Architect – Video Publishing

This position requires working with account managers and product managers to design solutions for our clients  in comprehensive pre-sales engagements. The Solution Architect is a specialty within the Solutions Architecture group and should hold subject matter expertise (SME) in Online Video Publishing (OVP, DIVApublish) and cloud services (Lynx).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of DIVApublish and Lynx
  • Interview customers in pre-sales engagements to define their functional requirements, workflows and project dependencies
  • Write proposals that may include our partners, integrators, resellers, and qualified third-party products that our client resells and supports
  • For our DIVApublish and Lynx services, project-manage the onboarding process.
  • Define the functionality, features, workflows and success critera for solutions that require development by Front Porch Digital, sometimes with partners
  • Validate customer sample files for encoding and transcoding functions
  • Help partners to position their products and services in our solutions, and quote qualified third-party products in our clients sales
  • Respond to RFI’s and RFP’s

Requirements:

  • B.S. or equivalent in Engineering or Computer Sciences
  • Over 5 years technical experience in IT, broadcast, cable or production environments
  • Recent experience in an Online Video Publishing (OVP) or video streaming environment
  • Web services experience using the semantics of SOAP, REST, WSDL, JSON, atom, MRSS, Groovy scripts, CDNs, cloud transcoding, storage/public/delivery URLS/URIs, media players, ad services, and SaaS
  • Experience with Visio, Excel and Word
  • Technical understanding of media operations including video servers, file systems, clustered storage file systems, hierarchical storage (HSM), disk arrays (SAN, NAS), tape libraries, digital management, video encoding and transcoding
  •  Experience applying standards from SMPTE, ITU, W3
  • Travel: 50% – North and South America
  • May work from home office or our Headquarters in Louisville CO.
  • Base Salary- 90k
  • Total Comp- 115-120k
